What a week! It is nice to be settling into our routines once again and giving some structure to our classroom

We had some wonderful tamariki off to the Regional Chess Championships on Thursday. They snagged the top spot for teams and have come back with some gold medals, badges and certificates, kei runga noa atu!(outstanding!)

We have also had a fabulous session of rōpū sports once again. It is great to see the school coming together and having a heap of fun. It is always something to look forward to and a great way to end a Friday.

On Tuesday we had New Zealand Kahurangi Dance crew come in and teach us some new rākau as well as give us some pointers for our haka and poi. It was nice to hear waiata around the kura once again. This has given us the push to get Kapa Haka started… very exciting times ahead!
